Our Law Office is Open!

Jun 16, 2020 | News

We are excited to announce that our offices are opening, but doing so to ensure the safety and health of our clients and staff. While our doors have been closed these past few months, we’ve been VIRTUALLY open throughout.

Our goal is to provide you the best legal care and service that you need. We will continue to provide this service while ensuring your safety and the safety of our staff.

We will be limiting the number of in-person appointments and continue to use and encourage non-contact ways to communicate, including the use of tele-conference, video-conference (Zoom) and e-mail. We will continue remote document signing virtually. If we determine that an in-office appointment is best for you, we will provide instructions on how to prepare. While the office will be open, many of our staff will be working remotely and virtually.

We are all ALWAYS reachable at all times by phone (516-822-7866), fax (516-822-7889), e-mail ([email protected] or [email protected] ). We can also schedule Zoom appointments at your convenience. If you need “Technical Assistance” in using Zoom, let us know and we’ll be happy to help you.

THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US DURING THIS TIME

1. All access to our office will be by appointment only. Our preference will always be to schedule and conduct appointments virtually, by phone or video-conference (Zoom). We ask that no one arrive unannounced for any reason. If you need to see any of our attorneys or staff, please call ahead so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

2. Everyone entering the office MUST wear a face covering at all times and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry. Social distancing will be practiced. No one will be allowed to enter the office without adhering to these rules.

3. If you do have to come to our office, we ask that you come unaccompanied. For those who need assistance, we ask that this be limited to a single escort, who, upon escorting you to the office, will be asked to return to their vehicles until the completion of the meeting.

4. We will continue to gather information through as many contact-less ways as possible for your safety as well as our own.

Remote Execution Through July 6th

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic Governor Andrew Cuomo issued Executive Orders 202.7 and 202.14 temporarily allowing for remote notarization and the remote witnessing of estate planning and certain other documents provided certain execution requirements are met. These orders are currently set to expire on July 6, 2020. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to execute estate planning documents without needing to leave your homes. These Orders may be extended to future dates.

As we adjust our procedures to support recommendations by the CDC and NYS, we ask for your patience and understanding as we move through the difference phases of reopening.

We are looking forward to seeing you again soon and hope that you and your family continue to be safe and healthy!

Best wishes to all!
